This thick, sweet Japanese sauce is often used to accompany okonomiyaki, the thick Japanese cabbage pancakes. Well-known in Japan, it's made by blending some twenty different spices with lots of fruit and vegetables. It is characterized by a deep sweetness and the rich flavor of carefully selected dates. Make an omelette with 200g of cabbage and 3 eggs, then cover with okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise.

It goes well with okonomiyaki, but personally I use it on anything fried.
