The SHOKUDO at iRASSHAi is inspired by Japanese shokudo, those small traditional canteens where you enjoy the famous teishoku: a complete and balanced meal consisting of rice, miso soup, proteins, side dishes, and tsukemono (Japanese pickles).
Our concept: combining Japanese authenticity with a contemporary Parisian setting. You can enjoy homemade cuisine, served on designer tableware, either on the terrace or indoors, with service from Monday to Sunday.
At SHOKUDO, we offer a menu that changes with the seasons to ensure freshness and authenticity. Every dish is homemade, from miso broth to desserts, carefully and passionately prepared by our team. Our goal is to provide you with healthy, generous, and affordable meals while respecting the principles of Japanese cuisine.
The unique feature of our Japanese canteen is the freedom to compose your own teishoku according to your desires, with products from: the sea (fresh fish), the land (braised meat), or vegetables.

Do you need to make a reservation at SHOKUDO?
No, the SHOKUDO does not require a reservation. You can come directly, Monday to Sunday, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM (3:30 PM on weekends and holidays) and from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. For groups of more than 10 people, a reservation is necessary: please contact us at restaurant@irasshai.co.
Does the SHOKUDO have a terrace?
Yes, the SHOKUDO has a summer terrace. The total capacity of the space is 103 people, including both the dining room and the terrace.
Are there vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?
Yes, all our menus offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Feel free to ask our on-site team to find out which dishes are available according to your dietary needs. The menu is also marked with small icons to help you easily identify the relevant dishes.
Is the SHOKUDO accessible to people with reduced mobility?

What is the difference between an izakaya and a shokudo in Japan?
