Collection: Alongu

Sleek and elegant, Alongu dinnerware was created by designer Jin Kuramoto. Designed to adapt to both traditional Japanese cuisine and other food cultures, it is harmonious wherever it is used. While traditional Japanese cuisine and tableware have been sources of inspiration, the designer has in fact incorporated various styles, reinterpreting them in unique ways. The collection includes plates, bowls and other containers with carefully studied shapes, which reference modern Asian tableware while adapting to a wide range of culinary styles. Over countless generations, Japanese food culture has developed through a process of transformation. The name "Alongu" refers to the English word "along", which means "along the". Made in Hasami, a town renowned for its ceramics, this tableware draws inspiration from national and regional influences and traditions, yet is perfect for the contemporary kitchen. It's a work halfway between the past and the future.
