Before entering the soy sauce business, Fundodai's founders were a family of sake brewers and merchants. The company was founded in 1869 in Kumamoto. Over the years, Fundo-Dai has expanded its product range to include miso and condiments, while remaining true to its values: contributing to society and the local community, while preserving traditional techniques.
