Collection: Kochi Ice
Specializing in the production of ice cream and sorbets made with citrus fruits from Kochi Prefecture. The history of Kochi Ice dates back to the 20th century. Fumiya Hamamachi left his former career as a fisherman after getting married to take an office job. He joined the food department of this company and began selling ice cream at fairs and department stores. When the food department closed, he went into business for himself and continued selling ice cream, winning several prestigious certifications and awards that enabled the company to export internationally.
The company name "Kochi Ice" is a play on words, meaning both "ice cream from the Kochi region" and "I love the Kochi region."
