Nagatani Seito

Nagatani Seito is one of Japan’s oldest donabe manufacturers, founded in 1832 in the city of Iga, where it continues to preserve the traditional art of pottery. Located in Iga, in Mie Prefecture, in the Kansai region, it is renowned for its rich clay deposits, ideal for making donabe. The tradition of Iga-Mono, or “Iga ware,” is rooted in a heritage of over 1,300 years of pottery techniques and craftsmanship.
