The history of the Japanese tea house Miyazaki Sabo dates back 80 years, to the beginning of the Showa era (20th century). When it was founded, Miyazaki Sabo planted native Japanese tea bushes, which are still grown today using organic farming methods. It received an award in 2003 from the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture at the National Tea Fair, and then received another award in 2014 at the National Agriculture and Forestry Festival.
