The history of the Japanese tea house Miyazaki Sabo dates back 80 years, to the beginning of the Showa era (20th century). When it was founded, Miyazaki Sabo planted native Japanese tea trees, which are still grown today using organic farming methods. It was awarded a prize by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture at the National Tea Fair in 2003, then received another award in 2014 at the National Agriculture and Forestry Festival.
