Founded in 1895 in Yasugi, Shimane Prefecture, Aoto Shuzō perpetuates traditional know-how handed down through several generations. Driven by the conviction that "sake shapes man, and man shapes sake", the company takes meticulous care of each stage of production, with the same attention as a parent raising a child. Once a producer of several cuvées, after the war it refocused on its emblematic "Horoyoi", a gentle, comforting sake, true to the idea that light intoxication is the secret of a balanced life.
