Kunie Hasutani, wife of a Buddhist temple monk in Shiga, is the creator of Nouvelle SHOJIN, a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Shojin cuisine practiced in her family for 28 generations. By listening to the "voices" of vegetables grown in nature, she creates inspired dishes that celebrate the harmony between earth, plants and man.
