Hasami Porcelain is a renowned Japanese brand known for its porcelain tableware. The historic town of Hasami, located in Nagasaki Prefecture, is one of Japan’s main pottery centers. For nearly 400 years, this region has produced porcelain, which has been distributed throughout Japan and exported to Europe via the port of Nagasaki.
Simplicity and functionality are at the heart of the design, with stackable pieces inspired by traditional Japanese lacquered boxes (Jubako), making serving and storage easier.
The products are made from semi-porcelain, combining the qualities of porcelain and earthenware. Artisans use traditional glazing techniques with an exclusive blend of natural stone and clay, developed over many years to make the most of these natural resources. The brand aims to combine modern tableware design with the organic quality resulting from traditional Japanese manufacturing techniques.
