Collection: Hakuba Nishiki

Founded in 1906 (Meiji 39), the Hakubanishiki Brewery, located in Ōmachi, Nagano Prefecture, draws inspiration from the iconic mountains of Hakuba. Named by the second president, Yoshisuke Usui, the brand embodies the very essence of the region, using brewing methods that respect the local environment.

Perched at an altitude of 700 meters, the brewery benefits from the pure water of the Northern Alps and locally grown rice, thanks to long-standing partnerships with farmers in the region. Since 1990, Hakubanishiki has prioritized the use of locally grown rice for its beverages, and since 2017, all the rice used has come from the city of Shinano-Ōmachi.

The brewery’s philosophy is to honor the natural environment around it and to create refined sakes that capture the purity of the snowmelt from the Alps. It is also committed to sustainability, supporting local agriculture and practicing environmentally friendly farming techniques.
