Takuhiro Shimamoto, creator of the Hasami collection, drew on his memories to design his curry plate. The curry plates in his school canteen were oval, as were those in curry restaurants.
Naturally, he designed his own oval. The rice is placed in the center, with the curry and garnish on the sides.
