Launched in 1994, C.C. Lemon is a fizzy drink so popular in Japan that it is entitled to its own commemorative day, April 4, due to a play on words with the number 4, "shi" in Japanese, which is pronounced like the letter C.
The drink takes its name from the fact that it is enriched with vitamin C. Its taste is a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. Since 2019, C.C. Lemon has been committed to the fight against cancer by collaborating with the "DeleteC" program. To mark the occasion, bottles bearing a commemorative label with a crossed-out C are released, with part of the proceeds going to cancer research.
