Based in Iwanuma, in Miyagi Prefecture, Nishiki Foods was founded in Sendai in 1939. Originally specializing in prepared dishes such as tsukudani and tofu, it turned to shelf-stable pouch foods in 1975. True to its philosophy centered on ingredient quality and the pursuit of the right flavor, it now develops both private-label products and its own brand, NISHIKIYA KITCHEN, dedicated to “simple but authentic” world cuisine.

Instructions

In a bain-marie: Place the unopened pouch in boiling water and heat it over low heat for 5 to 7 minutes, then pour the contents of the pouch onto a plate with your choice of side dish. Be careful not to burn yourself when opening the pouch.

In the microwave: Pour the contents of the pouch into a container and heat for 1 minute 30 seconds at 600 W or 2 minutes at 500 W. Do not place the pouch directly in the microwave.

Conservation

Store in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture. After opening: consume promptly.
