In a pan, sauté the onions in a little oil until tender. Add the meat and continue cooking over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
Add 500 ml of water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Partially cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Turn off the heat, add half of the roux from the box, breaking it into pieces. Stir until completely dissolved, then simmer over low heat for another 5 minutes, stirring regularly.

Store away from light, heat, and moisture. After opening: keep refrigerated. Consume promptly.
