Classic matcha tea Ikuyo no Mukashi ⋅ Ippodo Tea ⋅ 30g
Vendor : Ippodo Tea
⋅ Ideal for an introduction to matcha or for everyday use
⋅ Can be enjoyed traditionally or as a matcha latte
Produced by Ippodo, an icon of Japanese tea for almost three centuries, this classic matcha has a balanced profile with a light bitterness. Made from green tea leaves carefully selected for their quality, then ground to a fine powder, it offers a smooth, harmonious flavor. Ikuyo no Mukashi matcha is ideal as an introduction to matcha or for everyday use, particularly during the tea ceremony. Thanks to its balanced taste, it can be enjoyed both traditionally, beaten in water with a chasen whisk, and in modern preparations such as matcha latte. It goes perfectly with seasonal fruit, dried fruit or delicate pastries, both Japanese and Western. This matcha is offered in a sachet packaged in a cardboard box, not in a can.

More details on this product
Ippodo's origins go back more than three centuries, to 1717, when Rihei Watanabe opened a store called Omiya to sell tea and ceramics. In 1846, the store was renamed Ippodo, meaning "to preserve". The name comes from Prince Yamashina, who appreciated Ippodo tea and wanted the store to preserve a tradition: providing high-quality tea. Ippodo continues to adapt to changing times, but has remained true to high-quality Japanese tea ever since.
For 2g of matcha: pour 60ml of water at 80°C and whisk for 15 seconds, until foam forms on the surface.
Store away from light, heat and moisture.
100% green tea (Japan)
