Hojicha Latte Recipe
Prepare a creamy and comforting hojicha latte in less than 10 minutes. This simple recipe for 2 people combines the sweetness of milk with the slightly roasted depth of hojicha, a Japanese roasted green tea with notes of hazelnut and caramel.

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons of hojicha powder (Japanese roasted green tea)
- 400 ml milk (cow's milk or plant-based milk such as oat milk)
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup, honey, or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons of hot water (approx. 80°C)
Directions
- Pour the hojicha powder into a bowl. Add the hot water and whisk vigorously until smooth and lump-free.
- Heat the milk over medium heat without bringing it to a boil (ideally 140–150°F).
- If desired, lather it up.
- Divide the hojicha between two cups.
- Gradually add the hot milk while stirring.
- Sweeten to taste.
- Serve immediately. Optional: sprinkle lightly with hojicha for a visual finish.
