Fine shavings of natural, additive-free smoked and dried katsuobushi, with a deeply umami taste.
They are made exclusively with wild-caught bonito from a certified responsible fishery. The bonito are then cut with knives, cooked, smoked and finally hot-dried with wood shavings, without the addition of additives or colorants.
This essential ingredient of Japanese cuisine is used to prepare dashi broth, the base of many dishes, soups and sauces. The shavings have a deeply intense umami taste and a slightly fibrous texture. It can also be sprinkled furikake-style on your rice, in salads or poke-bowl. You can also sprinkle it on hot dishes such as Okonomiyaki, takoyaki, pizzas or quiches.
