⋅ Finely ground Uji hojicha
⋅ Perfect for baking or in a latte
⋅ Rich, toasty, warm aroma
⋅ Intense flavor
⋅ Low in caffeine

This hojicha is made by double-roasting green tea harvested in Uji, then grinding it into a powder. This roasting method gives it an intense flavor reminiscent of coffee. This powder can be used in the same way as matcha and is a perfect substitute for cocoa and coffee. It adds a touch of originality to classic pastries such as cookies, pound cake, éclairs, tiramisu, brownies, or mousse. It is also ideal for making beverages with cow’s milk or plant-based milk. In addition to its distinctive flavor, the roasting process removes the caffeine from hojicha, making it perfect to enjoy at any time of day, whether hot or cold.
