Ingredients

  • 90 g unsalted butter
  • 2 g of salt
  • 170 g sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 125 g heavy cream
  • - 125 g flour
  • - 3 g of baking powder
  • 15 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 40 g of kinako

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C and line a loaf pan.
  2. Sift the flour with the baking powder, then set aside.
  3. Beat the sugar, salt, and softened butter until the mixture is creamy.
  4. Add the egg and beat until the mixture turns pale (about 5 minutes using an electric mixer).
  5. Stir in the cream, then the flour and baking powder mixture. Mix until the dough is smooth.
  6. Divide the dough in half: add the cocoa to one half and the kinako to the other.
  7. Pour the two batters into the pan, alternating between them, then create a marbled effect. Bake.
  8. Let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Prepare the glaze: melted dark chocolate mixed with puffed rice for extra crunch, then drizzle it over the cake.
  10. Let it set… and enjoy!
