Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 200 ml plant-based milk (almond, oat, or coconut)
- 1 handful of fresh spinach (≈30 g)
- ½ avocado (optional, for creaminess)
- 1 tsp culinary-grade matcha (≈2–2.5 g)
- 1 tbsp honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup (to taste)
- ½ lime (juice)
- Ice cubes (to taste)
- Superfood option: 1 tsp chia seeds or spirulina
Directions
- Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha into a small bowl. Add 1–2 tablespoons of warm water and whisk until frothy and completely dissolved.
- In a blender, add: the banana, spinach, and avocado (if using), plant-based milk, lime juice, prepared matcha, and honey or syrup.
- Add a few ice cubes for a cool, light texture.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Adjust the sweetness or acidity to your liking.
- Pour into a large glass or a smoothie bowl and enjoy right away.
