Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 200 ml plant-based milk (almond, oat, or coconut)
  • 1 handful of fresh spinach (≈30 g)
  • ½ avocado (optional, for creaminess)
  • 1 tsp culinary-grade matcha (≈2–2.5 g)
  • 1 tbsp honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup (to taste)
  • ½ lime (juice)
  • Ice cubes (to taste)
  • Superfood option: 1 tsp chia seeds or spirulina

Directions

  1. Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha into a small bowl. Add 1–2 tablespoons of warm water and whisk until frothy and completely dissolved.
  2. In a blender, add: the banana, spinach, and avocado (if using), plant-based milk, lime juice, prepared matcha, and honey or syrup.
  3. Add a few ice cubes for a cool, light texture.
  4. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Adjust the sweetness or acidity to your liking.
  6. Pour into a large glass or a smoothie bowl and enjoy right away.
