As you know, we are currently facing two major bottlenecks: production capacity and raw material availability. For products other than matcha, we plan to address this issue by increasing staff and improving our workflow. Regarding Uji Sakura Matcha and Matsukaze Matcha, although they are offered at the same price, they are in fact different products. Both are limited offerings, also distributed for professional use in Japan. Matcha Uji Sakura is made exclusively with tea leaves from Kyoto Prefecture and is in high demand due to its relatively affordable price. As a result, we can only supply it in limited quantities. If your customers are familiar with the name "Uji Sakura," we will be happy to continue offering it in small quantities. At the same time, we suggest you register "Matcha Matsukaze" as a new product on your end. When Uji Sakura is not available, we could ship Matsukaze as a replacement, maintaining the same price. Matcha Matsukaze differs from Uji Sakura only in the origin of the raw tea leaves. Everything else—price, net weight, and packaging—is exactly the same. Therefore, registering it as a new product on your end should be relatively simple. Please indicate the origin of the raw materials as "Japan." Matsukaze is one of our regular matcha products. Our general manufacturing policy for regular products is to create the most flavorful matcha possible at a consistent price, without limiting the origin of the tea leaves. Although the majority of the leaves still come from Kyoto, some may come from other prefectures depending on the blend. Uji Sakura was selected specifically for the French market before global demand for matcha began to increase. At the time, we believed that limiting the tea leaves to Kyoto Prefecture would be a significant marketing advantage. However, the situation has changed. Today, it is more important to ensure a stable supply, and within the framework of our Vendor, the use of non-Kyoto tea leaves does not pose any major problems. Please feel free to share your thoughts with us. Matcha "Matsukaze" is an easy-to-drink matcha that allows you to enjoy the flavor of matcha with less bitterness and astringency. When used in cooking and baking, it brings out the natural flavor of matcha. *The photo of matcha is for illustrative purposes only.

More details on this product

The first traces of matcha in Japan date back to the 13th century, to the Kamakura era, when a Buddhist monk brought back from China the seeds of a new kind of tea: not brewed, but ground to a powder and then incorporated into water, which the Japanese called matcha in reference to the manufacturing process.
