Collection: Gassan Shuzo

Located in Sagae, at the foot of Mount Gassan in Yamagata Prefecture, Gassan Shuzō was founded in 1972 on a site that brought together three historic sake breweries dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. True to the exceptional environment that surrounds it—abundant snow, beech forests, and pure water filtered naturally over 400 years—the brewery crafts a refined sake, rooted in artisanal tradition and enriched by modern techniques. Its signature line, Ginrei Gassan, reflects the harshness of winter and the richness of local resources.
