The Sanuki Udon is one of the most popular types of Udon in Japan. It is made from wheat and water flour, and is renowned for its texture that is both firm and elastic.

The dough is carefully prepared to obtain a smooth and uniform texture. Noodles have a subtle taste of wheat, which allows them to adapt to a wide variety of dishes, whether cold or hot. The Sanuki Udon is traditionally served in a dashi broth, with garnishes such as algae, tempuras or vegetables.

For 1 person: dive 100g of udon in 1l of boiling water. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring gently. Drain and rinse them with cold water. Enjoy cold, "zaru" way, with tsuyu or hot sauce in a broth, with the accompaniments of your choice (tempura, chives, white daikon radish, grilled poultry, wasabi, nori alga in strips, .. .). Adapt the cooking time and firmness of noodles to your liking.
