These hochis, jas certified, are made by crushing full rice using a pestle, then integrating sagebrush powder with the paste obtained. This production method is inspired by macrobiotic principles, where full rice is particularly appreciated. The producers Ohasawa and Kojima Foods specialize in the transformation of full rice, traditionally considered to be long to prepare and sometimes difficult to digest, to make it a product that is both accessible and healthy.
Rich in fibers, minerals and antioxidants, black soy is a very healthy food for the body. It gives the Mochi a taste evoking the hazelnut. These Mochi can be consumed traditionally: both grilled, as in a broth or tsukemono, but also sweet with kuromitsu for example.

George Ohsawa is a Japanese philosopher born in 1893 at the origin of the macrobiotic movement. He sought to introduce the philosophy of ying and yang in food, starting from the principle that a good diet could solve all the evils. Starting from the principle that forcing yourself to eat only healthy foods without taking pleasure in it does not allow this diet to adopt eternally, the Ohsawa group founded in 1945 extends its work by seeking to distribute only macrobiotic products at the same time for the body like the palace.
