This unique tea is created by sprinkling matcha on genmaicha, offering a distinctive emerald infusion color. Genmaicha and matcha are among the most popular green teas in Japan. Genmaicha is made by mixing green tea with blown rice grains, which gives it a naturally sweet taste with shades of hazelnuts. Its origins date back to Japanese popular circles, where tea, precious and rare, was mixed with rice to extend its use. As for Matcha, it is a green tea powder characterized by a umami taste and slightly sweet. Traditionally prepared by whisking it with water, it brings Genmaicha a slight bitterness and a umami which balances its flavors.

One of my favorite genmaicha

I love this tea, it is very soft and fragrant. Soufflé rice comes out well, it is balanced and without bitterness.
