The buildings of the Miwa Sake Brewery were recognized in 2011 as tangible cultural goods and are typical examples of the brasseries of Saké from the Meiji era. The main building was destroyed during the great earthquake in Nobi in 1892, then by air raids during the Second World War. However, it has always been rebuilt and is still there today. All buildings are Japanese style huts made of terracotta and covered with black planks outside.
