This hojicha powder can be used in the same way as matcha. Its warm and toasted taste evokes notes of hazelnut and cocoa, making an ideal substitute for powdered chocolate to bring a touch of originality to classics of pastry such as cookies, cakes, lightning, tiramisu or the foam. It is also perfect for preparing delicious slats with cow's milk or vegetable origin.

This powder is obtained by roasting of the tercha harvested in Uji, then by reducing it to powder. In addition to giving it its characteristic taste, the roasting process eliminates theine, which makes it possible to consume it at any time of the day, whether hot or cold.

100% green tea (Uji, Kyoto, Japan)

Keep out of light, in a dry and temperate place. Before opening, can be stored in the freezer. After opening, keep in an airtight container and consume as soon as possible.

For a cup of Hôjicha Latte: mix 1 tsp of this Hôjicha in 200ml of hot milk.

It was in the 17th century, during the Edo era, that Yamamasa Koyamaen began to cultivate tea. Traditional techniques have transmitted from generation to generation until 1861 the company started wholesale. It still continues to produce high -quality teas by managing the production of culture for sale. This tea is produced in Uji, near Kyoto, which is renowned for the quality of its green tea.
