Anmitsu is a traditional Japanese dessert made with agar-agar seaweed gelatin cubes. It is prepared with a sweet sauce made from kuromitsu, black cane sugar syrup. Its taste is sweet and rich, with a slightly bitter, caramelized touch due to the kuromitsu.
