Kukicha is made by blending green tea leaves with tea stems. It was originally made by peasants after they had sold their best leaves to the nobility. It is characterized by a slightly vegetal, sweet taste. It is less rich in theine than other green teas, making it ideal as a snack at any time of day. You can infuse it in milk, cream or syrup to add a subtle green tea flavor. It can be incorporated into recipes for ice creams, pastries, sauces or marinades to add a delicate touch.

For one cup: infuse 3g (1 teaspoon) of kukicha in 100ml of water at 65℃ for 90sec.
Store airtight, away from light, heat and moisture. After opening, use up quickly.
