Yuzu black tea loose ⋅ Miyazaki sabou ⋅ 40g
ゆずの香紅茶 リーフ
Vendor : Miyazaki sabou
⋅ Scent of fresh citrus, yuzu, lightly woody
⋅ Mild, refreshing infusion
⋅ Also available in individual bags
This black tea is grown in the heights of Gokase, a region renowned for its ideal climatic conditions and rich soils. Unlike the more full-bodied black teas of India or China, Japanese black tea is distinguished by its natural sweetness, with a light astringency and silky texture on the palate. Yuzu, Japan's emblematic citrus fruit, is picked when fully ripe to preserve its vibrant aromas. Its fragrance evokes a delicate blend of lemon, grapefruit and mandarin, bringing a zesty, invigorating note to black tea. This alliance creates a perfect balance between the roundness of the tea and the subtle acidity of the yuzu. This black tea with yuzu is just as delicious hot for a moment of comfort as as a cold infusion for a thirst-quenching, fragrant drink. Perfect after a meal or for a gourmet break, it can be enjoyed at any time of day.

I'd tried different yuzu teas before, but was often disappointed because they weren't yuzu-only. But this tea is all yuzu and it's really good, with a very subtle taste that's very pleasant on the palate. What's more, it's not expensive. I'd definitely buy it again.
