Matcha Tiramisu Recipe
Discover a revisited version of traditional tiramisu with a unique Japanese twist: matcha. This dessert combines the creamy sweetness of mascarpone with the subtle bitterness of matcha tea. Ideal for a snack, a dessert or simply to treat yourself, this original tiramisu is as easy to prepare as the traditional coffee recipe.

Ingredients
- 250 g mascarpone
- 3 egg yolks
- 100 g cane sugar
- 200 ml liquid cream
- 200 g spoon cookies / boudoirs
- 1 heaping tablespoon matcha powder (plus a little for decoration)
- 1 tablespoon liqueur of your choice (Amaretto or Japanese green tea liqueur, optional)
- 200 ml of soft hot water (for mixing with matcha)
- 1 tablespoon flour
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- In a bowl, mix 200 ml hot water with 1 heaped tablespoon matcha and 1 tablespoon sugar.
- Add liqueur if desired and mix well. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk the yolks with 100g sugar until the mixture whitens.
- Add the mascarpone and mix until smooth.
- Add the liquid cream, then gently fold it in while continuing to whisk.
- Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the matcha mixture (be careful not to soak them).
- Arrange a first layer of cookies at the bottom of a dish or verrines.
- Cover the cookies with a generous layer of cream.
- Repeat the operation to obtain 2 or 3 layers, depending on the size of the dish.
- Smooth the top and sprinkle lightly with matcha powder for decoration.
- Chill the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight, to allow the flavours to develop.
