Made primarily from corn distilled in “Coffey” stills, this single grain offers a glimpse into the distinctive style of Nikka’s grain whiskies found in their blends. Original, it appeals to those seeking a unique whisky.  Profile: Nose: Fresh and seductive at the same time, it reveals sweet notes of ripe pear, cherry juice, and exotic fruits. Citrus notes—blood orange and lemon—emerge, giving way to subtle floral notes of apple and cherry blossoms. As it opens up, it becomes richer and more dessert-like, with coconut, bourbon vanilla, and cream-filled choux pastries. Underlying these are delicate hints of mint and a touch of musk. Palate: Juicy and delightfully rich, it delivers on the nose’s promise. A medley of ripe fruits accentuated by distinct notes of rum (banana) and caramel.
