S&B Japanese curry

Japanese curry differs from its Asian counterparts in its level of spiciness, which is generally less intense. Instead, it consists of a mild, balanced blend of curry powder and spices, with no single ingredient predominating. Due to the addition of flour, the sauce has a relatively thick consistency. Japanese curry is also traditionally served with rice. Although the fundamental characteristics of this preparation have not changed much over the last 150 years, subtle variations have helped to create a remarkably complex Japanese curry culture, well embodied by S&B.
