⋅ Natural wood handle, both safe and elegant
⋅ Double pouring tray
⋅ For broths, sauces or simmered dishes
Entirely made in Japan, this lightweight yet durable saucepan is the ideal tool for boiling water or quickly preparing simmered dishes. It is made from aluminum, a material that is both lightweight and has excellent thermal conductivity, enabling liquids to be heated quickly. This pan is treated with alumite, a Japanese technique that enhances the metal's durability and resistance to corrosion. Its 2 mm thickness guarantees gentle, even heat diffusion, perfect for evenly cooking food while preserving its flavor. The pan also features a solid oak handle, offering thermal insulation for safe use and an elegant finish. The sides of the pan are also hand-finished, giving it a vintage look. Each pan is unique. Highly versatile, this saucepan has two pouring spouts: a wide one for quick pouring, and a narrower "karasu-guchi" for greater precision, while its inner walls feature raised graduations (scale in liters) to pour exactly the quantities you need, avoiding any wastage. This practical detail also simplifies the preparation of recipes requiring precise measurements, whether for boiling water, preparing stocks or simmering dishes. Combining precision and practicality, this saucepan is perfectly suited to the needs of both novice and experienced cooks.

Please note that the Yukihira saucepan can only be used for heating and boiling liquids such as water or stock. The Yukihira pan is not suitable for cooking or frying!
Never heat the Yukihira saucepan empty / without sufficient liquid, as the bottom may warp. If you use the Yukihira pan on an induction hob, never heat it up immediately on high heat, even if it's full, and never use the Power/Booster mode. On gas stoves, the flame must never extend beyond the bottom, as this could damage the wooden handle. For further information, please refer to the operating instructions supplied with the pan.

The form makes it nice and easy for the bouillon preparations, but it's a shame you can't put it to dishwashing
Very light saucepan, easy to wash & very practical with the measuring glass side inside and the edges that allow the liquid to be poured neatly.
