Onion tsukemono Rakkyo, a small bulbous vegetable native to Japan, often compared to shallots or onions because of their appearance and crunchy texture. They are grown in the Fukiage dunes of Kagoshima.
Rich in fiber and fructans, they aid digestion and the development of intestinal flora. Much appreciated for its pungent, slightly sweet taste, it is often eaten as a side dish, notably with Japanese curry, or used in salads to add a touch of crunch, or in a burger.

Delicious! I put a quarter of the package in my little salad of cucumber, quinoa, dashi, and toasted sesame oil, and it's a real plus! I also bit into one, and it's really excellent on its own!!!! I'll be back for more.
So clearly it's expensive, but how good are these little pickles of spring onion tops!
Perfectly crunchy and seasoned.
