Discover a refined selection of Japanese green teas in this practical, elegant box. This box contains 12 individual tea bags, offering a unique experience of three popular teas: Sencha, Hojicha, and Gyokuro. Each of these teas has been carefully chosen for its distinct quality and flavors. Sencha: This classic green tea is the most widely consumed in Japan. It offers a fresh, slightly herbaceous taste and a sweetness that varies according to the infusion. Sencha is perfect for everyday drinking, both soothing and refreshing. Hojicha: A roasted green tea with a mild, slightly smoky taste. It is lighter and less bitter than Sencha, with a nice roundness that makes it particularly pleasant at the end of the day or after a meal. Gyokuro: A premium green tea distinguished by its sweetness and pronounced umami. This tea is shade-grown before harvesting, which intensifies its flavor and gives it a smooth texture and slightly sweet taste. Each tea is carefully selected for its distinct quality and aroma, guaranteeing an authentic experience in every cup.

More details on this product

Ippodo's origins go back more than three centuries, to 1717, when Rihei Watanabe opened a store called Omiya to sell tea and ceramics. In 1846, the store was renamed Ippodo, meaning "to preserve". The name comes from Prince Yamashina, who appreciated Ippodo tea and wanted the store to preserve a tradition: providing high-quality tea. Ippodo continues to adapt to changing times, but has remained true to high-quality Japanese tea ever since.

Leave to infuse for the time indicated on the sachet.
