More details on this product
Before using for the first time, check that the appliance is placed on a stable surface, plugged into a correctly wired socket, and that neither the appliance nor the pan is damaged.
1. Measure and wash rice
Use the measuring cup supplied or a suitable measure for the quantity required.
Pour the rice into a container and rinse under cold running water until the water runs almost clear: this removes excess starch and produces a more uniform texture.
Drain the rice after rinsing.
2. Add rice and water to saucepan.
Place the rinsed rice in the inner pan of the cooker.
Add water according to the marks on the inside of the pan, or according to the manufacturer's recommended ratio (often around 1:1 for white rice, to be adjusted according to the type of rice).
Make sure the outside and bottom of the pan are dry and clean before placing it in the appliance body.
3. Place pan in cooking unit
Insert the pan into the cooker, turning slightly to the right and left to ensure good contact between the hotplate and the bottom of the pan. Close the lid.
4. Plug in and start cooking
Plug in the appliance and turn on the "Cook" switch. The "Cook" light will come on, indicating the start of cooking. (Do not plug in until you are ready to cook, otherwise incomplete cooking may occur).
Cooking will not start if the pan is not correctly placed in the appliance.
5. Wait for cooking to finish
Once the rice is cooked, the switch is raised or the machine automatically switches to "Keep Warm" mode. The "Keep Warm" indicator lights up.
Leave the rice to stand for at least 10-15 minutes without opening the lid to complete the internal steaming process.

After resting, gently stir the rice with the scoop or spatula provided to "aerate" the grains.
6. Serving and keeping warm
The rice is now ready to serve.
If necessary, leave the cooker in "Keep Warm" mode to maintain the rice at serving temperature. This function is useful for buffets or longer services (but be careful not to exceed 12 h without adding a little water, as this may result in discoloration or an unpleasant odor).

Unplug appliance after use.
7. Cleaning and care
Wash the inside of the pan with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge. Dry thoroughly.
Clean the appliance body with a soft cloth. Do not immerse in water.
Use wooden or plastic utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
Janax A/S
Allow appliance and pan to dry completely before storing.
