Discover Remo rice cookers, designed to help you achieve perfect Japanese rice every time. They adapt to all your needs, making it easy to prepare perfectly cooked rice just like in Japan, without supervision.

Before first use, check that the appliance is placed on a stable surface, plugged into a properly wired outlet, and that neither the appliance nor the pot is damaged.

1. Measure and wash the rice

Use the measuring cup provided or a suitable measure for the desired quantity.

Pour the rice into a container and rinse it under cold water until the water becomes almost clear: this helps remove excess starch and achieve a more uniform texture.

Drain the rice after rinsing.

2. Add the rice and water to the pot

Place the rinsed rice in the rice cooker’s inner pot.

Add water according to the markings inside the pot or the manufacturer’s recommended ratio (often approximately 1:1 for white rice, adjusted according to the type of rice).

Make sure the outside and bottom of the pot are dry and clean before placing it in the appliance body.

3. Place the pot in the cooking unit

Insert the pot into the rice cooker, turning it slightly to the right and left to ensure good contact between the heating plate and the bottom of the pot. Close the lid.

4. Plug in and start cooking

Plug in the appliance, then press the « Cook » switch. The « Cook » indicator lights up, showing that cooking has started. (Do not plug in the appliance before you are ready to cook, as this could result in incomplete cooking.)

Cooking will not start if the pot is not correctly positioned in the appliance.

5. Wait until cooking is complete

Once the rice is cooked, the switch rises or the machine automatically switches to « Keep Warm » mode. The « Keep Warm » indicator lights up.

Let the rice rest for at least 10 to 15 minutes without opening the lid to complete cooking through the internal steam.

After resting, gently stir the rice with the included rice paddle or spatula to “fluff” the grains.

6. Serving and keeping warm

The rice is ready to serve.

If necessary, leave the rice cooker in « Keep Warm » mode to keep the rice at serving temperature. This function is convenient for buffets or extended serving periods (do not keep the rice warm for more than 12 hours without adding a little water, as this could cause discoloration or an unpleasant odor).

7. Cleaning and maintenance

Wash the inside of the pot with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge. Dry thoroughly.

Clean the appliance body with a soft cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water.

Preferably use wooden or plastic utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
