It is made with Tenku no Matcha, a top-quality matcha grown in the mountains of Shizuoka, in preserved natural areas with a cool, humid climate. The leaves are shaded for several weeks before harvesting to accentuate their sweetness, umami and intense green color.
This liqueur is designed to preserve as much of matcha's complex aromas as possible: its slight bitterness, sweetness, umami and vegetal freshness are enhanced by an alcoholic base.
It can be enjoyed in a variety of ways: in a latte-style cocktail, on the rocks, as a chu-hi, or poured over vanilla ice cream for a Japanese affogato.
