More details on this product
The first traces of matcha in Japan date back to the 13th century, to the Kamakura era, when a Buddhist monk brought back from China the seeds of a new kind of tea: not brewed, but ground to a powder and then incorporated into water, which the Japanese called matcha in reference to the manufacturing process.
Originating in the Uji region of Kyoto prefecture, a historic area renowned for the quality of its tea, Vendor is inspired by traditional tea-growing and processing methods. The leaves are carefully shaded before harvesting to intensify their chlorophyll content, then slowly ground on stone millstones to obtain a fine, vibrant powder.
In addition to its traditional use in tea ceremonies, it can be incorporated into a variety of recipes: lattes, smoothies, pastries and ice creams. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or an initiate into the Japanese tea ceremony, Vendor offers an immersion into the art of matcha, combining authenticity, refined taste and respect for Japanese traditions.
For one cup of traditional matcha: 2 g to 75 ml of water at 70℃. Pour the water over your matcha and stir vigorously with a "chasen" matcha whisk. When foam forms on the surface, you can enjoy.
Store away from light and heat. After opening: Close tightly.
