An iconic lemonade, born in 1947, embodying the spirit of post-war reconstruction. Created by the Marugen Inryo company in the Azuma-cho district (now Tachibana, Sumida district), it quickly became a symbol of renewal for Tokyo, then in ruins. Like the devastated city, the factory and company building had also been destroyed, but this lemonade helped Marugen Inryo to rise again, while inspiring the locals. The lemonade was discontinued in 1989, before being re-released in 2011, faithful to the original recipe.
