An iconic lemonade, created in 1947, embodying the spirit of post-war reconstruction. Created by the Marugen Inryo company in the Azuma-cho district (now Tachibana, Sumida Ward), it quickly became a symbol of renewal for Tokyo, which lay in ruins at the time. Just like the devastated city, the factory and company building had also been destroyed, but this lemonade allowed Marugen Inryo to get back on its feet, while inspiring the residents. Sales ended in 1989, before the product was reintroduced in 2011, faithful to the original recipe.
