A versatile ceramic pot, ideal for slow, flavorful cooking. Compatible with direct gas burners, oven and microwave, it offers even cooking and excellent heat retention. An essential element of traditional Japanese cooking, it offers a convivial and healthy culinary experience thanks to its ability to cook food evenly. Its lightness and compact size make it the perfect tool for cooking for one or two people, whether for Japanese shabu-shabu, yose-nabe, or Western-style simmered dishes such as stew.
Its ceramic is resistant to extreme temperatures and has low water absorption, preventing the retention of unpleasant odors and the residual taste of previous preparations. This donabe stands out for its ease of maintenance, preventing any risk of mildew. It's important to clean it gently after each use with a mild detergent. Do not heat without water and do not use for frying.

This product rarely absorbs water, so it is not necessary to season it for the first time. When using for the first time, please wash gently with a neutral detergent. Do not heat without water. Do not use for stir-frying or frying. Make sure you heat with stability on the gas stove. Remove the lid when using in an oven, as a rapid rise in temperature can lead to breakage. The handle is hot when heated. Use gloves to hold it. Do not place the pan directly on the table when hot, as it may discolor. Use a pot mat. Hold the pot with both hands when transporting it, as the ceramic pot is heavy. Don't touch it with a wet cloth, and don't place it in a damp place while it's hot, as rapid cooling could break it. Don't use too much water. This could cause boiling and injury. Do not heat rapidly to high temperatures, and be sure to stir well during heating.
Remove the lid when using in an oven, as a rapid rise in temperature can lead to breakage. Wash and dry immediately after use and keep dry when not in use. Wash with care. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool. Do not use hard metal objects to remove burnt residue. If the pan is burnt, bring water to the boil in the pan, add 1 tablespoon baking soda and simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes, allow to cool and scrub with a melamine sponge.
