A high-quality rice with a tender texture and a deep, sweet taste. Created in Japan in 2008, it takes its name from the combination of the words "Yume" meaning dream, and "Pirika", meaning beauty in the language of the Ainu, an indigenous people living in the north of Japan, notably in the Hokkaidô region as well as in the Kurile archipelago.
Grown in the cold region of Hokkaido, its low amylose content gives it a tender texture that it retains even when eaten cold, making it perfect for accompanying traditional Japanese dishes, in sushi, onigiri or simply served with grilled vegetables and meats. Its texture and well-balanced taste mean it can be enjoyed on its own or as an accompaniment to more complex dishes.
It is vacuum-packed, which preserves its characteristic aromas for an optimal experience.
