Its smooth, mellow flavor makes it a perfect alternative to stronger teas. Its low caffeine content means you can enjoy it all day long, even in the evening. Learn more about the producer

Ippodo's origins date back more than three centuries, to 1717, when Rihei Watanabe opened a shop called Omiya to sell tea and ceramics. In 1846, the shop was renamed Ippodo, meaning “to preserve.” The name came from Prince Yamashina, who appreciated Ippodo tea and wanted the shop to preserve a tradition: providing high-quality tea. Ippodo continues to adapt to changing times while remaining faithful to high-quality Japanese tea.
