⋅ Hokkaidō black soybeans, rich in protein and fiber ⋅ Firm, melting texture ⋅ Delicious in soups, salads, simmered dishes or desserts ⋅ Healthy, versatile ingredient in Japanese cuisine
Selected for their rich flavor and firm texture, these black soybeans are a traditional Japanese food, often eaten sweetened and slow-cooked.
Both rich in flavor, with a beautiful dark color, their taste is mild and their texture firm and slightly sticky.
They can be used in a wide variety of dishes, including soups, stews, salads and sweet dishes, but also on their own as a snack or dessert.

1. Wash the beans without damaging the skin, and soak them in 4 times their volume of water for 6 hours.
2. Heat over medium heat.
3. When the water boils, heat over low heat, removing any foam that forms.
4. Add a glass of water and continue cooking over low heat.
5. When cooked (beans are tender), season to taste and enjoy.
Used for a soy milk recipe, absolutely delicious. Nutty taste with a pinch of salt. Would be ideal for a pudding or panna cotta recipe, as the texture is quite thick.
