Recipe for gnocchi with black sesame cream sauce

These gnocchi are topped with a creamy sauce made from black sesame paste. The result is sweet, slightly nutty, and very indulgent—perfect for a quick but sophisticated dinner.

Ingredients

  • 400 g fresh gnocchi
  • 20 cl of liquid cream
  • 2 teaspoons black sesame paste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 small clove of garlic
  • Black pepper
  • Black sesame seeds (for serving)

Directions

  1. Cook the gnocchi in a large pot of boiling salted water according to the instructions, then drain.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the cream over low heat in a skillet.
  3. Add the black sesame paste and whisk until you obtain a smooth, even sauce.
  4. Add the finely grated garlic and soy sauce, if using.
  5. Add the gnocchi to the sauce, stir gently, and heat for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Season with pepper, adjust the seasoning, and serve with a few black sesame seeds.
