This canned honjozo sake pays homage to the famous “Omagari no Hanabi” fireworks festival, held every summer in the town of Daisen, Akita Prefecture. Its fireworks motifs capture the atmosphere of Japanese summer festivals.
This honjozo sake is brewed from a local rice variety from Akita Prefecture called Menkoi-na, polished to 65%, and then fermented with a local yeast from Akita. It is then pasteurized just once after bottling to preserve its freshness and aromas.
Served well-chilled, it reveals its sweet and refreshing character, ideal for the summer season. When warmed, it develops a more pronounced umami richness. Its versatility in temperature and pleasant texture make it suitable for many occasions.
