More details on this product
Located in the mountainous Tajima region of Hyogo prefecture, Moko Sekken cultivates its own rice sustainably using the Kounotori Ikumu method, which involves creating a favorable environment for cranes in order to encourage their preservation. The rice obtained is then polished and sold as is, or transformed into hygiene products, such as soaps made from rice bran.
150g rice for 2 people: hand-wash the rice 3 times with water, then rinse until the water runs clear. Then place the rice in a saucepan, add 200ml water and leave to stand for 3 hours. Cover the pan and heat over medium heat until boiling. Lower the heat and cook for 30 minutes without removing the lid. Turn off the heat and leave to stand for a further 10 minutes, still with the lid on. Stir the rice gently before serving.
Store away from light, heat and moisture.
