A Honjozo sake with a rich, dry flavor, made with Miyama Nishiki rice grown in Nagano Prefecture and pure water from the underground springs of Mount Kiso Ontake, then fermented with Kyokai No. 7 yeast. Renowned for its versatility and approachability, Honjozo is a sake to which a small amount of distilled alcohol is added during fermentation to lighten the sake and bring out its aromatic notes. It is ideal for pairing with traditional Japanese dishes and can be enjoyed chilled, at room temperature, or warmed to fully reveal the natural umami of the ingredients. This sake is GI Nagano certified, guaranteeing the origin and quality of the raw materials used.
