A traditional Japanese confection made from shiro azuki, white bean paste, made by cooking the beans with sugar and agar-agar to create a smooth, dense paste which is then cut into small pieces. Its taste is sweet and slightly floral, with a soft, dense texture. The combination of the sweetness of the sugar and the subtle flavor of the white beans produces a unique result. It can be enjoyed at any time of day. The small pieces are convenient to carry and eat, and can also be used as a garnish in desserts or as an ingredient in cooking recipes.

A discovery but one I won't be making again. The texture is pleasant but I find the flavour too sweet and the product too high in calories.
One of my favorite yokan from this Vendor. However, a lot of packaging (as with other yokan brands). Convenient and sufficient size; you really don't need less.
